Saltwater

My phone says
"your lens may need cleaning"
Pictures shouldn't be blurry
Blurry, watery images
was all I knew
Slumber, Valencia, Inkwell
were not the filters to be
Life drenched in salt water pools
was all I could see
Blink them away, I was told
Them falling was a weakness
In between the blinks
life kept swimming in the pools
I let them fall now
and the world hasn't ended
by drowning in them
I clean the camera lens
with its special microfiber cloth
It wipes away the blurriness
as his fingers wipe mine
Clarity is a gift
but sometimes you also need
the world to fade
When I need the blurred now
I opt for the sea instead of the pools
